Originally an 1800s family farmstead, the property has been thoughtfully restored into a full-service wedding venue that perfectly blends historic charm with modern elegance. Every renovation has been completed with care to preserve the property’s original character while creating a welcoming space designed specifically for unforgettable celebrations. Since opening as a wedding venue in 2011, Mustard Seed Gardens has become a favorite among couples looking for a romantic setting that feels both timeless and effortlessly beautiful.

As a wedding photographer, Mustard Seed Gardens is one of my favorite venues because every corner of the property has been designed with beauty in mind. The landscaping is meticulously maintained throughout the year, providing colorful gardens in spring and summer, rich foliage in the fall, and timeless architecture during the winter months. The historic farmhouse offers soft natural light for getting-ready photographs, while the ceremony lawn creates a beautiful backdrop framed by towering trees. Inside the barn, neutral finishes and large open spaces allow every wedding style to shine, whether you’re planning a romantic candlelit reception or a modern celebration with bold décor.

Some of my favorite portrait locations include the tree-lined ceremony lawn, the charming white farmhouse, the winding garden pathways, the outdoor patios, and the open fields surrounding the property at sunset. Golden hour at Mustard Seed Gardens is especially magical, with warm light filtering through the mature trees and creating a soft, romantic glow across the grounds. Even on rainy days, the beautifully restored barn and covered outdoor spaces provide elegant alternatives that photograph just as beautifully.
