As a wedding photographer, Black Iris Estate is one of my favorite venues because of the incredible variety it offers without ever leaving the property. The elegant exterior, beautifully landscaped grounds, tree-lined walkways, manicured lawns, and sophisticated indoor spaces provide endless opportunities for timeless portraits. Throughout every season, the property photographs beautifully, whether surrounded by spring blossoms, vibrant summer greenery, colorful autumn foliage, or the understated elegance of winter.

Some of my favorite portrait locations include the estate’s elegant entrance, the ceremony lawn, the landscaped gardens, the peaceful outdoor walkways, and the reception ballroom. During golden hour, the grounds are filled with warm, soft light that creates romantic portraits, while the ballroom provides a refined setting for first dances, heartfelt toasts, and joyful celebrations long into the evening.
